The Company My client is an international leader in the industrial manufacturing space. This exciting opportunity has arisen to work on various large-scale capital upgrade projects over a period of 12 months with a strong possibility of extension. This role is based to the south-east of Melbourne, about a 45 minute drive from the CBD. The Role Reporting into the Project Manager, the responsibilities of the role includes: Delivery of automation work packages across capital projects - typically process line equipment upgrade including electrical and automation equipment Capacity to complete the technical investigation on capital projects Oversee process line equipment upgrade including electrical and automation equipment Programming PLCs and Safety PLCs Programming of Human Machine interface programming and specification with exposure to Citec, Panel View and WinCC Experience with the following would be beneficial: DC / AC Drives & Motors iBA data logging Machine Safety, Safeguarding & Safe Access Cranes, Robots or Cameras Your Background In order to be successful in this role, you will have: Degree qualified 7 years of relevant industrial experience Electrical and/or Automation engineering background Strong experience with SCADA or communication protocols – preference for experience with Siemens 300 and 1500 series PLC Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills Strongly preferred that candidates are members within Engineers Australia or if not, eligible for registration What’s On Offer: In return, you will be given the opportunity to work for a global manufacturing leader with a large projects on the horizon over the next 12 months.
