Foundation Labour Hire is recruiting a Senior Civil Supervisor for a long-term Defence construction project based in Darwin, Northern Territory (NT), working with a highly experienced and reputable Defence contractor. The Client has a proven track record of successfully delivering major Defence projects both in Australia and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role on a high-profile greenfield development and contribute to nationally significant Defence infrastructure. You'll be part of an experienced site team delivering a critical project across an extensive construction program. Candidates must be able to obtain Defence Security Clearance/Common Access Card – Australian Citizens only. About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Civil Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily civil construction work on a large-scale greenfield site. You will manage multiple crews and subcontractors, ensure safe and efficient delivery, and maintain strong quality standards throughout all stages of the program. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily site operations, including bulk earthworks, services, pavements, and structural elements. Lead and coordinate subcontractors and internal labour teams Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site inductions Track productivity and report on progress to the management team Liaise with engineers, planners, and project stakeholders Drive a high-performance culture and lead by example on-site Requirements Significant experience as a Supervisor on large civil infrastructure or Defence projects Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, pavements, and civil utilities Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary crews White Card and relevant machinery/ticket qualifications Australian Citizen (essential) Valid driver’s licence and the right to work in Australia Desirable Previous experience on Defence or government infrastructure projects Familiarity with NT/QLD-based site operations First Aid Certificate and understanding of environmental/site compliance protocols Benefits Long-term Defence project (2.5-year program) Darwin-based role Competitive hourly rate - Weekly pay Further opportunity to work on international projects How to Apply If you’re a seasoned Civil Supervisor ready to step into a high-impact role on a major Defence project, we want to hear from you!
