We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations and lead our culinary team to new heights. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to the highest standard. Lead, mentor, and manage the kitchen team to maintain a productive and motivated work environment. Design and develop seasonal menus and daily specials that align with the venue’s concept and customer preferences. Ensure food consistency, quality control, and portion management across all menu items. Monitor kitchen costs including food, labour, and waste to meet budget targets. Maintain stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure optimal inventory levels. Enforce food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance, including adherence to HACCP protocols. Train and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff to support career growth and maintain high standards. Collaborate with management on event catering, function menus, and promotional initiatives. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the kitchen. About You: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume venue. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is preferred but not essential. Strong leadership and team management skills. Creativity and a passion for quality, fresh food. Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and stock control. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Commitment to food safety and workplace hygiene standards.
