Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and professionally.
- Address customer queries, provide recommendations, and maintain a high standard of service.
- Encourage patrons to sign up for club membership, highlighting member benefits.
- Encourage patrosn to sign up to our social media to keep up to date with upcoming events and offers
Bar Operations:
- Prepare and serve drinks, including beer, wine, spirits, and some cocktails.
- Engage in all areas of bar operations, maintaining smooth service and efficiency.
- Process cash and card transactions using the POS system accurately, managing tills and poker machine payouts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including restocking and cleaning equipment.
- Handle busy functions, ensuring seamless bar service during high-volume events.
- Address minor maintenance issues or report them to management as needed.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) regulations.
- Monitor patron behaviour to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including hygiene practices in preparing and serving drinks.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other bar and club staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak times and club events.
- Assist with setting up and packing down for special events, functions, and bowling club activities.
Social Media Engagement:
- Promote the club’s social media channels by encouraging patrons to follow and engage with us online.
- Highlight upcoming events, special promotions, and club activities to guests, driving both in-person attendance and online interaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RSA and RCG certification (Required).
- Previous experience in a similar bar or hospitality role, preferrably a year.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High level of customer service with a friendly, approachable, and positive attitude.
- Ability to build strong relationships with regulars and local patrons.
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and spirits.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts.
- Ability to handle busy shifts and work well under pressure, especially during large functions.
- Experience liaising with club management or boards.
