Category Procurement: Australian Multi-National Company Challenging and Fast-Paced with Growth Potential Secure Onsite Parking The Company: A busy multinational Australian owned manufacturing and technology company is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Category Procurement for an immediate start to join our head office team based at South Granville. The organisation provides a friendly team environment with opportunities for skill development. The Role: The primary function of this role is to procure quality products at competitive pricing to meet customer demand and support the growth of our 4PL division. You will be in regular contact with internal and external customers, and key stakeholders, therefore your ability to build and maintain professional relationships is essential. You will be required to continuously review and improve overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness with your Suppliers. Your ability to successfully manage negotiations, purchasing, quality control, costs, timely deliveries, and continuous improvement will see you succeed in this very important role. Experience with category management, international procurement and overseas importing will be looked upon favourably. As part of a small team, tasks are mostly self-directed and as such require a methodical approach. Perform sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business. Basic understanding of category management, and application in spend categorisation. Personal Attributes: Minimum 3 years of category procurement experience. High attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions. Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads. A customer-centric focus when working with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills; both written and oral. Basic word & excel knowledge Work well as part of a team Strong work ethic, resilient, proactive with initiative and a can-do attitude Able to self-manage and work unsupervised Applications should include a CV and a covering letter.
