Our client is seeking an experienced Web Developer to help rebuild and modernize two existing Electronic Parts Catalogue systems currently used by dealerships across Australia. These legacy Windows applications store their data locally via Microsoft Access and are incrementally updated as new parts are released. Your role will be to create draft versions of two modern web applications that access this data via a set of stable REST APIs. These draft builds will then be handed off to our in-house developer for final production. What You'll Do Develop two draft Web Applications using React or Angular with ASP.NET (v9) in Visual Studio. Consume REST APIs to present structured data from our catalogue system. Ensure secure authentication. Host the web apps on Microsoft IIS. Collaborate closely with an in-house developer to ensure smooth handover. What We're Looking For Strong experience in building frontend applications with React or Angular. Proficiency with ASP.NET (v9) and Visual Studio. Demonstrated ability to integrate with REST APIs. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for codebase management. Experience building secure, user-friendly web interfaces. Nice to Have Experience working with Microsoft IIS-hosted apps. Understanding of legacy data systems like MS Access (for context). Prior work on tools for automotive industry or inventory/catalogue systems. This is a short-term engagement (1 month) with a clear scope, but there may be opportunities for further work beyond this project depending on timelines and collaboration.
