We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Branch Manager to support day-to-day operations, help lead a small team, and ensure the smooth delivery and return of our vehicles. You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager, provide hands-on support, and ensure every customer and partner receives outstanding service. This includes strategic logistical planning, resolving unforeseen issues quickly, and maintaining exceptional customer service. You’ll also: Lead day-to-day branch operations to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for customers and partners Support and mentor the team, creating a positive and productive work environment Collaborate with the Branch Manager to drive performance and contribute to branch success Handle customer enquiries and resolve escalations promptly and professionally Ensure all operations align with Compass policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements Contribute to growth strategies by helping develop innovative approaches to service delivery Optimise inventory, budgets, and resources for maximum efficiency What You’ll Bring Previous experience in an assistant manager, coordinator, or team lead role (preferred) At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role Strong communication, leadership, and people skills Ability to manage time, adapt to change, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment Confidence using computers, systems, and reporting tools Detail-oriented and focused on operational excellence A current Australian driver’s licence (a motorbike licence is a bonus but not essential) Why Join Compass Working at Compass means being part of a supportive team where your contribution is valued, and your development is supported.
