About the Role We are seeking a dynamic experienced and customer centric National Parts Manager, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, who will play a key national role in optimising the timely supply and procurement of spare parts from overseas and locally to our dealers, retaining stock levels and increasing working efficiencies across our spare parts departments nationally. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead VDI’s parts function with high standards of customer centricity, whilst inspiring the team to perform optimally against set KPI’s Utilise high levels of empowerment and autonomy to optimise functional performance. Coordinate timely and accurate parts orders, incoming shipments from overseas vendors and manage local courier dispatches. Liaise with international counterparts, assisting them to align customer needs with strategic imperatives. Establish enduring professional relationships with VDI’s dealers and their customers to consistently achieve our customer experience and operational performance outcomes. Realise best in class warehouse operations, including meaningful use of systems (Pentana), data, container unloads, efficient parts storage, pick/pack processes, glass handling freight / logistics coordination, health and safety adherence Team & Training Management Lead and train warehouse staff in national product, system and safety procedures Excel in cross functional engagement across multiple stakeholder groups, extending across a direct, indirect and dotted line reporting structure Handle disputes and complaints with the customer in mind, professionally and efficiently Drive process improvements that foster a high-performance culture Monitor team goals and delegate responsibilities to ensure alignment with company standards Human Resources Leadership Outwardly demonstrate VDI’s Core Values, inspiring others to do likewise Support professional development and onboarding of team members Guide recruitment to ensure the right people are in the right roles Mentor high-performing staff to meet sales and service objectives Resolve internal and OEM conflicts quickly, constructively and collaboratively Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of people at all times. Financial Accountability Develop and implement strategies to minimise financial risk and optimise financial performance Manage departmental revenues, margins, profitability and efficiency Provide meaningful financial reports on budgets, expenses, and accounts Collaborate with leadership to achieve a balanced parts pricing portfolio, optimising revenue and margin mix.
