This is a full-time position to support Gapcon Power Solutions' diverse range of power and electrical engineering projects. Based in Ellenbrook , WA 6069 , you will be an integral part of the team delivering innovative electrical solutions for our clients. Applications open from 30/04/2025 to 31/05/2025 What you'll be doing Testing and Commissioning : Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment Design and Development : They assist in designing and developing electrical systems, components, and equipment, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software2. Testing and Troubleshooting : They test and troubleshoot electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and safety3. Documentation : Preparing schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation is a significant part of their role. Project Management : They may oversee projects, supervise the construction or testing of prototypes, and ensure compliance with standards and codes4. Maintenance and Support : They maintain electrical systems, provide technical support, and train others on the use of electrical equipment3. Sustainability and Innovation : They focus on sustainable solutions and may contribute to advancements in technology, such as renewable energy systems. What we're looking for Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Project Engineer, ideally within the power or renewable energy sectors Strong technical expertise in electrical design, project management and problem-solving Proficient with the use of test equipment, mainly Omicron Test Equipment Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Up-to-date knowledge of relevant electrical standards, codes and regulations Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team Flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate changing project priorities
