About the role Gapcon Power Solutions is seeking a talented HV Protection Electrician to join our team in Perth, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, testing and commissioning of high-voltage electrical protection systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliable and safe operation of our power infrastructure. What you'll be doing Perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance of HV protection relays, circuit breakers and associated equipment Analyse and interpret protection settings and fault records to identify and resolve issues Carry out commissioning of new protection equipment and systems Provide technical support and advice to operations and engineering teams Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations Contribute to the continuous improvement of HV protection systems and processes What we're looking for Grade A Electrical license, tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 5 years' experience as an HV Protection Technician in the power industry Comprehensive understanding of HV protection principles, relay settings and fault analysis Proficiency in the use of testing and commissioning equipment for HV protection systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality What we offer At Gapcon Power Solutions, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
