Overview The Aluminium Fabricator / Welder plays a key role in the production and maintenance of high-quality aluminium custom built boats. This position requires strong trade skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. We're looking for someone self-motivated, punctual, and reliable who contributes positively to our workshop culture. Key Responsibilities - Perform new fabrication work and maintenance projects to specification. - Carry out aluminum fabrication, including TIG and MIG welding. - Read and interpret technical drawings and plans. - Ensure work is completed to a high standard, on time - Use all necessary PPE and always maintain a safe working environment. - Work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver projects efficiently. - Maintain a clean and organised workshop, including vehicles and equipment. - Complete end-of-day job documentation (e.g. diary or job cards). - Operate forklifts and assist with materials handling as required. - Comply with all company policies and procedures. Requirements - Trade qualification in Fabrication or equivalent experience. - TIG and MIG welding experience (aluminium experience). - Ability to interpret drawings and specifications with minimal supervision. - Sound knowledge of workshop safety procedures and OH&S standards. - Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain). - Current driver's licence (preferred). Special Conditions - Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times in the workshop and on-site. - Some site-based work may be required occasionally.
