About the College: The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is the leading standards body responsible for the training and education of specialists and GP obstetricians in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand. Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity The Training Directorate incorporates dedicated units to support the training programs, products and services offered by the College. The directorate comprises four main units that work closely together to plan, develop, monitor and deliver our various training programs. These include FRANZCOG & Subspecialty Training Programs, Procedural Training Programs, Selection, Accreditation & Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) and Examinations. In this full-time, 12-month fixed term role, reporting to the Training Accreditation Manager, you will contribute to ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all RANZCOG accreditation activities relating to Fellowship, Subspecialty and Certificate and Procedural training programs, including the implementation of the National Health Practitioner Ombudsman’s (NHPO) model standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the development of and updates to the RANZCOG accreditation processes and guidelines, standards and criteria for the accreditation and re-accreditation of tertiary, suburban and rural training sites around Australia and New Zealand which are accredited by RANZCOG for all training programs Coordination and support of project work, such as the Integrated Training Program (ITP) review and roll out of the model standards and procedures Support of the RANZCOG accreditation and ongoing re-accreditation of tertiary, suburban and rural hospitals around Australia and New Zealand, which are accredited by RANZCOG as training sites for the FRANZCOG Training Program (i.e. the specialist training program leading to Fellowship of the RANZCOG), and accreditation activity for other RANZCOG training programs as directed Support of aspects of organising accreditation visits, including liaison with relevant staff at each hospital and the appropriate health jurisdiction Support with organising College panels (comprising Fellows of RANZCOG, trainee representatives and appropriate College staff) which conduct the above hospital visits Support in the arrangements for accreditation visits (face-to-face and virtual via videoconferencing) Support for the coordination of the Progress Report review process, undertaken between reaccreditation cycles Provide high level administrative support/coordination to relevant committee/s, attend Committee meetings, and support committee Chair/s and Deputy Chair/s as necessary Contribute to the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of initiatives and policies relating to accreditation as directed Ko wai koe | About you - Key Selection Criteria Sound experience gained in a professional environment in customer service, supporting committees and general administration Highly developed communication skills to support internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Excellent written communication skills, the ability to prepare accurate minutes, agendas and draft a range of correspondence and reports Sound planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage group email inboxes, effectively handle conflicting priorities, establish timeframes and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and the ability to support improvements to procedures and process.
