Description Competitive salary opportunity for annual incentive car allowance Excellent work/ life balance and learning programs on offer Opportunity to grow your career within a growing business About the Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Restoration Consultant who will provide expert advice on all things related to restoration in our CRD Team located within our Sydney office. CRD is a division of Crawford which offers Engineering, Quantity Surveying (QS) and Building Consultancy services to the insurance industry. The consultant will support internal and external clients with their expertise in Restoration. This support is provided via inspection and reporting on restoration related matters, undertaking and/or co-ordinating forensic investigations, providing detailed scope of works and cost estimates, validating large and complex restoration costs, obtaining and reviewing tenders, managing various projects, and technical revision of reports prior to them being submitted to the Client. Assignments may include Fire, Water and Mould remediation and other building related issues. You will report directly to the NSW State Manager of CRD, and your role will be a blend of business improvement and active case management. The successful applicant will ideally have 5-years’ hands-on experience plus 3-years consultancy experience working in restoration within the domestic and commercial construction industry within Australia. IICRC and basic thermal imaging accreditation is required. Key Responsibilities Conduct field investigations involving all types of structures and restoration problems including residential, commercial and industrial properties Prepare written reports that document extent of loss, and recommended remediation, in accordance with codes and industry standards. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, seminars and reviewing professional publications. Provide mentoring and training to CRD and Adjusting staff on matters relating to restoration Maintain a significant level of Fee Earning responsibilities About You The role will suit candidates who can demonstrate: Confidence and independence in their work A thorough knowledge of the restoration industry, restoration costs and construction techniques Ideally 5 years’ hands-on experience in restoration plus 3-years restoration consultancy experience Proven technical competency High integrity and effective communication Strong PC skills and an analytical mind A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines IICRC and basic thermal imaging accreditation is required About Crawford Crawford is the world’s largest publicly listed claims management company operating in more than 70 countries.
