Regional position in the Lower Limestone Coast region of SA Operational role to manage pest species Work closely with stakeholders including land managers and the community Work with a range of stakeholders and landholders to manage natural resources through a whole of landscape approach As a Landscape Officer, you will increase community and landholder understanding, acceptance and adoption of programs for the management of pest species across various land tenures as well as collect, record and interpret information on declared or threatening pest animal and plant infestations. This will involve working closely with a wide range of stakeholders including land managers, community groups, industry and contractors. Special Conditions: Position is based at Millicent or Kingston SE. A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check. Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties. Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required. Required to hold or be willing to obtain a full pest management technician's licence. Required to undertake identified training to be appointed as an Authorised Officer under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019. Required to work alone in a field environment, including working in adverse weather conditions from time to time.
