FIELD SERVICE MAINTENANCE FITTER/DIESEL TECHNICIAN | MOBILE CRUSHING OPERATOR - 50/50 SPLIT About the Company LS Quarry is a family owned business operating for over 25 years in North East Victoria. We are rapidly growing with approximately 150 staff and over 250 pieces of equipment. Along with our quarry operations, we also provide offsite crushing services via our mobile teams. About The Role This role is to provide effective and efficient maintenance and engineering for the quarry equipment and machinery. You will carry out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on 35 tonne excavators, loaders, modern crushers, wash plant & screening plant. This role will also need you to operate the equipment on-site including loaders, excavators, dump truck on an approximate 50/50 split. Work service vehicle available on-site. Weekend rosters may also be required. Duties will include, but not limited to: Duties & Responsibilities • Follow all OH&S procedures at all times • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and completing work orders and urgent tasks in a timely manner • Maintenance and repair of heavy plant & equipment including excavators, loaders, crushers and screens • Record all maintenance activities for each piece of plant and equipment and completion of service sheets requiring good literacy skills • Routine inspection and preventive works of all plant and equipment • Competent in interpreting drawings and schematics • Responsible for repair, modification, assembly and overhauling of equipment • Ensure stoppages, performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner • Liaising with workshop, store-persons for ordering and replacing used parts and components, submitting daily work paperwork to administrative staff • Set up and run the crushing and screening plant • Feed crushing plant as part of a team of operators to meet production schedules • Operator loader/excavator as part of the crushing team Skills & Experience • Heavy Maintenance Fitter/Diesel Technician qualifications & 3 years post trade experience • Fault finding and diagnosis experience highly regarded • Crushing and screening equipment experience highly desired • Experience with mobile equipment with industrial automation, wiring, and systems including low voltage, fuel, cooling, hydraulics and sensors would be an advantage • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, combined with strong attention to detail and able to deliver high quality work • Good computer skills • High energy and good positive “can do” attitude to get the job done • Current drivers licence (HR/MR licence desirable) • EWP, WP, Forklift, dogging and first aid would be desirable together with all operator tickets and white card Benefits & Culture • A competitive rate available • Needs to be a team player • Great group of people working as a team to make it happen
