POSITION Sous Chef – International Cuisine - Royal Palace Kitchen LOCATION Jordan The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Sous Chef – International Cuisine will lead the preparation and delivery of diverse international dishes for private household dining and high-profile events. This role demands exceptional versatility across global cuisines, a flair for cultural fusion, and the ability to cater to a wide range of sophisticated palates. The Chef will be responsible for delivering both seated fine-dining and buffet-style presentations, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and service. QUALIFICATIONS / LICENSES / SKILLS 5–7 years of professional experience working with international cuisine in upscale or luxury culinary settings Deep understanding of global cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and culinary trends Strong leadership and organizational capabilities, with experience leading multicultural kitchen teams Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously Skilled in event catering, both buffet and plated formats Fluent in English Culturally aware and sensitive to VIP preferences and dietary needs A passion for global cuisine and innovation in food presentation DUTIES Design and execute menus inspired by global cuisines, blending traditional and modern approaches Lead food preparation for a variety of occasions including formal seated dinners, elegant buffets, and private family meals Manage kitchen staff, assigning roles and ensuring cohesive team operations Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times Organize kitchen operations to ensure timely delivery and efficient service, especially during large-scale events Liaise with household management regarding menu planning, guest preferences, and scheduling Stay current with culinary trends and proactively introduce new flavors and presentation styles Maintain a clean and well-stocked kitchen, overseeing ingredient sourcing and procurement START DATE ASAP SALARY By negotiation (based on qualifications and experience) BENEFITS Ex pat package PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT All applicants must submit a professional portfolio showcasing their work in international cuisine and event catering alongside their CV.
