About the role The Manager, Government Relations and Strategic Projects leads a small, high-performing team responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic advice that supports government priorities and TAC initiatives. Working closely with the Office of the CEO, Road Safety, Marketing, and Strategy teams, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the TAC’s reputation and contributing to its strategic success. You will oversee engagement with Ministerial offices, prepare high-quality briefings and correspondence, and provide proactive support on emerging issues and key strategic projects. With a focus on early issue identification, stakeholder engagement, and cross-organisational collaboration, this role is critical in ensuring timely, effective communication and alignment between the TAC and government stakeholders. About the Team Reporting to the Director, Office of the CEO, you will join a small, dynamic, and high-performing team that plays a critical role in supporting the CEO and the wider organisation. Strategic Thinking in a Political Environment You bring experience working in politically sensitive environments, with a strong ability to provide strategic advice to senior decision-makers. Your track record includes developing and maintaining trusted relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including government officials, departments, agencies, and Members of Parliament. You are adept at identifying, analysing, and managing emerging issues that could impact the organisation’s reputation or strategic goals. Highly Organised with Project Delivery Experience You have strong project management skills and excellent organisational abilities, ensuring that priorities are planned and delivered with enough time for consultation and quality outcomes. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word, you’re confident managing timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities while keeping a focus on strategic execution.
