About the role A qualified Roof Tiler is now sought to join our friendly team. Key tasks include: Determining job requirements and planning/determining materials needed; Setting-up job sites including ladders and scaffolding; Securing waterproof sheets over eaves and nailing & stapling roofing underlay to roofs; Aligning starter rows with roof edges, securing them in place with wire, staples and nails; Installing, repairing and replacing roofing including conventional, inverted built-up, single-ply and two-ply modified using shingles, tiles, slate, aluminium, and bricks along with other materials; Laying, aligning & securing successive overlapping layers of roofing materials; Cutting roofing materials to size and fitting around vents, chimney edges, corners and ridges; Setting edge and ridge tiles with cement mortar and ensure joints are watertight; Fixing & nailing roofing materials under pre-fabricated flashing and caulking to prevent leaks. About the Applicant The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have 1 – 3 years experience in a similar capacity.
