Pinnacle People is now recruiting General Hands to support the Livestock Pavilions at the iconic Royal Adelaide Show. What You’ll Be Doing As a General Hand, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure the livestock areas run smoothly. Duties include: Assisting with animal care and handling (including horses, cattle, sheep, and poultry) Supporting set-up and maintenance of pens, fencing, signage, and distribution of feed/straw Keeping livestock areas clean, safe, and presentable throughout the event Engaging with visitors and answering general enquiries Following instructions from Pavilion Supervisors and working as part of a team About You We’re looking for candidates who have: Previous experience working with animals/livestock Basic knowledge of animal breeds and care Experience with manual handling tasks A friendly, helpful attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work as part of a team and independently Good personal presentation suitable for a public-facing event A current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one) What’s On Offer Competitive casual rates Fun and supportive team environment Iconic event experience surrounded by animals Availability for the full event period is essential : Saturday 30 August to Sunday 7 September 2025 Apply now to be part of the team bringing the Royal Adelaide Show to life!
