Mala'la Health Service provide primary medical services through a dedicated team of GPs, nurses, and Aboriginal workforce, all working together to support improved holistic and culturally respectful care health outcomes What’s in it for you? Base Salary range of $213,380 to $232,468 Attraction allowance: $44,502 (a one off payment only in the first year of employment and paid fortnightly) Annual Retention Allowance of $44,502 (paid on completion of each 12 month service) Medicare Incentive Payment: 50% of fees generated up to a maximum of $100,000 per annum Qualified Rural Generalist: $64,014 will be paid on an annual basis Professional Development: $22,251 pa (paid fortnightly) Annual Travel Allowance: $6,000 (this would not apply should a FIFO arrangement be negotiated) Benefit from the Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) - Doctor Stream in MM7 regions to access additional MBS payments of up to $60K annually pending service year level What’s the role? As a remote general practitioner, you'll play a pivotal role in providing essential medical care to Maningrida and its surrounding outstations. Leverage your rural and remote expertise, collaborating seamlessly with fellow health professionals to deliver exceptional patient care What do you need to apply? Registration with the Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM Postgraduate clinical experience in general practice, paediatrics, obstetrics, and emergency medicine desired Flexibility to travel by road or light aircraft About Maningrida: Situated along the West Arnhem Land coast, 500 kilometres east of Darwin, Maningrida rests on the ancestral lands of the Kunibídji people. It ranks among the largest remote communities in Australia and boasts a rich cultural diversity, with over 13 Aboriginal languages spoken locally. The community is well-served with essential amenities including a school accommodating preschool through year 12 students, a childcare facility, a post office, numerous supermarkets and eateries, a service station, a swimming pool, and an art centre. Additionally, residents enjoy the convenience of twice-daily commercial flights connecting them to Darwin.
