As a Safe Steps Case Manager in Karratha, you will play a key role in delivering essential support services to those who are experiencing or are at risk of family violence. This is an on-site position and you will work under general supervision to provide practical, culturally safe support for clients, ensuring they have access to the resources and assistance they need. You will apply established procedures and policies to assist clients in navigating challenging circumstances, collaborating with other team members and service providers to deliver high-quality outcomes. Your Key Responsibilities Delivering practical, culturally safe support to young people and families impacted by family and domestic violence. Assisting with intake and assessment processes, including completing required documentation and data entry. Supporting clients to develop and implement individualised case and safety plans, following established practices and procedures. Facilitating home visits and consultations in office settings, ensuring client safety and well-being. Providing referrals and advocacy to connect clients with appropriate services and resources. Maintaining accurate client records, adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards, and contributing to reporting requirements. Requirements for Success A Certificate or Diploma (or working towards) in Social Welfare, Youth Work, or a related field, with relevant experience. Knowledge of child and adolescent development and child and youth safe practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences. An understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal young people, families, and communities. The ability to follow established procedures and guidelines to provide effective support. Strong organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records. First Aid Certificate is desired but not essential. Full driver licence with no restrictions Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
