About the role You will work closely with the Director of Events, Alumni and Protocol (DEAP) in setting and delivering a national Alumni Relations program for the university. Key Responsibilities Set and review, the strategic alumni relations plan, including agreed upon KPI’s and measurable outcomes. Lead, implement and deliver our Alumni Relations programs, developing Alumni fidelity . Build a pool of key alumni contacts and ambassadors, cultivating and stewarding these relationships . Promote and manage both Alumni Perks and the Alumni Post Graduate Scholarships and discounts. Implement experiential volunteer and mentoring programs, in relevant schools, to improve graduate success and employability. Develop and implement awareness amongst students of Alumni relations, through to and including the programming of graduate, new and alumni communications and related programs Support the Advancement Office to implement and ensure the success of an annual appeal. Build bespoke alumni relations programs, for the post-graduate, international, and other emerging cohorts. Develop a suite of communications, working with the Marketing Office and the Communications Offic e. Qualifications, skills & experience Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or communications. Significant experience, preferably in the higher education sector (or a comparable organisation), in alumni relations, membership relations, advancement, development, or similar area. Sound experience in recruiting, working with and maximising volunteer support, across a wide variety of opportunities . Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage relations with internal executives, alumni and other key external stakeholders. Strong competency in communications; including preparing, writing, and disseminating content via social media, EDM’s, and traditional print publications, often with tight deadlines and involving various internal stakeholders.
