Description We’re on the lookout for a hands-on and proactive Full-Time Maintenance Manager to join our team at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley . You’ll be responsible for keeping our beautiful estate running smoothly — from guest rooms and event spaces to our gardens and historic buildings — all while leading and developing a high-performing team. Taste of your day-to-day You’ll play a key role in making sure our hotel is safe, compliant, energy-efficient, and beautifully maintained — all without disrupting the guest experience. Your typical day might involve: Leading, training, and developing a motivated and skilled maintenance team. Setting team goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering career development. Managing team rosters to ensure coverage during peak periods, weekends, and events. Overseeing daily maintenance across guest rooms, gardens, kitchens, event spaces, and more. Ensuring maintenance work (internal and external) meets safety and quality standards. Running preventative maintenance programs and emergency response procedures. Monitoring and optimising energy and water usage across the hotel. Inspecting facilities regularly and presenting updates to management. What we need from you A degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience in a related field). At least 3 years’ experience in hotel/resort engineering or maintenance leadership. Strong team management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
