Introduction Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for leadership and a sharp eye for detail? We are seeking a dynamic and driven Team Leader – Financial Reporting to lead a high-performing team and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting across our operations in Australia and New Zealand. Description In this role, you will be responsible for: Leading and developing a cohesive team, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development. Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, statutory reports, and monthly compliance requirements (e.g., GST). Coordinating the group’s annual financial forecast and semi-annual investor presentations. Overseeing the external audit process and ensuring timely lodgement of statutory financial statements. Delivering monthly financial data to the Reporting & Analytics team and providing value-added insights to senior leadership. Conducting analytical reviews of reconciliations, income statements, and balance sheets. Managing the chart of accounts and ensuring effective use of financial systems such as Great Plains and Management Reporter. Supporting risk management and compliance initiatives, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Skills And Experiences Desired Skills and Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting in a leadership or supervisory role is a must to be considered for this position. Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with current accounting standards. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive process improvements. Experience with statutory reporting and external audit coordination. Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Great Plains and Management Reporter. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A commitment to quality, risk awareness, and continuous improvement. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA qualification preferred.
