UQ Business School based in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) Full-time (100%), permanent position with a busy, high-performing team Base salary will be in the range $100,554.28 - $109,496.46 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our vibrant and picturesque St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity With the largest cohort of postgraduate students within the University, we are seeking a motivated, organised and engaged Senior Coordinator, Student Administration to lead a high performing team to coordinate the delivery of high-quality student administration and student experience functions and activities for the Business School. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the Business School, the Business Economics and Law (BEL) Faculty and more broadly in the UQ community to ensure activities and services are student-centred, coordinated and compliant with policies and procedures. You will also provide advice to the Senior Manager, Student and Academic Administration, about student matters in the School. Key responsibilities will include: Coordinate the functions of the Business School’s Student and Academic Administration Team, including management of workflow, workloads, proactive leave management, general supervision, performance appraisal processes and associated training and development activities. Coordinate and oversee the postgraduate program operational functions and student administration matters in relation to enquiry management, admissions, academic progression, enrolment, intervention strategies, graduation, credit and exemptions, program changes, and external agreements. Lead and actively promote a high standard of performance and a culture of collaborative continuous improvement in the team. Coordinate and provide detailed, timely and accurate advice on complex student and academic administration matters in accordance with the University’s policies and procedures. Coordinate international agreement articulation study plans with BEL Faculty as required. Maintain close and effective liaison with relevant staff within the School, Faculties and wider UQ community to ensure Student administration and activities are coordinated, student centred and compliant with requirements. Lead the student recruitment, admissions and onboarding activities of priority programs and identified student within the School. Manage surveillance error reports and prepare other statistical information on student administration functions including utilising UniTask, CRM, and MicroMasters progression reports. Undertake statistical analysis on prospective and current student figures (i.e. demographics, lead source, interest/motivation, FAQ’s, etc.) and prepare reports to inform future marketing and lead nurture activities through BEL Marketing for designated programs. Manage the School’s prizes and scholarships application process, reporting and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse issues, innovative problem solving and improvement of administrative systems and procedures. Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with high levels of accuracy. Highly developed interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated experience in the provision of a high level of customer service. Demonstrated leadership skills in a high volume, complex, service orientated environment, including the planning, organising, performance management, recognition, and development of staff.
