As an Enterprise Agreement level position, this secondment is currently open to Essential Energy permanent employees only. About the Role As a key member of our Executive IT Support team, you will be the trusted technology partner for Essential Energy’s most senior leaders. Based in our Port Macquarie office, you’ll provide hands-on, personalised IT support that directly influences executive productivity, high-stakes meetings, and critical business continuity. This is not your average IT support role; your work will help power boardroom decisions and ensure flawless technology experiences at the highest level of the organisation. What You'll Be Doing • Deliver tailored, high-priority IT support to executives and senior leaders. • Ensure seamless delivery of critical meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams) through proactive room checks, tech validation, and behind-the-scenes coordination with Executive Assistants. • Collaborate with IT teams to quickly escalate and resolve complex technical issues across devices, systems, and meeting room technologies. • Maintain detailed Executive Playbooks to provide context-aware support tailored to each leader’s preferences and role. • Assist with the evaluation, testing, and deployment of new software and hardware, ensuring suitability for executive needs. • Use plain language to clearly communicate technical advice to time-poor senior leaders. • Update and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to improve speed and consistency of support. • Embody respect, discretion, and professionalism in every interaction. About You You’re calm under pressure, thoughtful in how you support others, and deeply motivated by making things run smoothly. You anticipate needs before they arise, adapt quickly, and understand the importance of discretion when supporting high-profile individuals. You also bring: • A Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent hands-on experience. • Proven experience in executive support or senior-level IT support (Level 2). • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, Teams), Zoom, Surface Pro devices, iPhones/iPads, and meeting room AV setups. • A working understanding of ITIL practices and a passion for continual service improvement.
