Our guests walk with purpose, leaving a positive trace, while celebrating the land and its stories. We’re now looking for a Safety, Environment & Community Officer (SEC Officer) to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to help protect the places we walk, support the people who guide our journeys, and empower the communities we work alongside. What You’ll Do: As our SEC Officer, you will support the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Safety, Environment, and Community practices. You’ll be a central part of our behind-the-scenes operations, helping us meet our responsibilities to people, place, and purpose. This role operates on a flexible 7-day roster, with occasional longer days when supporting field-based work. Reporting to the Head of Operations Support, your key responsibilities will include: Safety Help develop safe work methods and documentation for our operational teams and the wider Company Act as the Return to Work Coordinator, supporting our people through injury recovery Organise and deliver engaging safety training in collaboration with the People & Culture and Operations teams. Environment Support key environmental monitoring activities like water sampling and development of environmental management plans Assist in updating and maintaining environmental plans Community Assist with the effective administration of Community initiatives including Reconciliation Action Plan, community day events, and Foundation Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance documentation across the business is managed appropriately and in line with schedules Support the maintenance of key documentation in line with quality systems, including set templates, annual reviews, as well as accreditations and licensing schedules Assist with Safety and Environmental audits, inspections, and investigations Assist with ensuring Safety and Environmental operations are compliant with internal and external procedures, certifications, leases, licences, and relevant Acts & Regulations. What you will bring: You’re someone who values walking with integrity. You care deeply about safety, environmental stewardship, and community connection.
