The Tasmanian Walking Company are proudly Tasmanian and have been walking for over 30 years to deliver unique experiences that connect guests to some of Tasmania’s most remote, wild, and special places. Our history and reputation will be with you every step of the way and this extends to our lodge at Three Capes. Make the most of this exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Lodge Host on a fixed-term basis (end of May 2026) , helping to run our amazing off the grid lodges on the Three Capes Track (Tasman Peninsula). Each evening, our guests settle into our private accommodation at Crescent Lodge or Pillar Lodge, nestled within the Tasman National Park. Our lodges offer true shelter and are designed to be simple yet sustainable. Whilst your guests settle in with a warm shower after a long day of walking, you will begin preparing a delicious feast of local fare. The right individual will have good hospitality and food preparation experience, and be passionate about creating connection with people and place. The role will be offered on a fixed-term from Mid-August 2025 through to May 2026 with rosters ranging between 7–8 days on and 6-7 days off. Accommodation is provided whilst on shift. Given the remote location, the ideal candidate will thrive in their own company, is comfortable working autonomously, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. You will be supported by other Lodge Hosts, Guides, and Regional Experience Managers. The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Experience working in a remote location A passion for preparing and cooking delicious food 2 years previous hospitality experience Strong problem solving and organisational skills Highly developed interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills Required Qualifications (can attain within first month of employment): Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021) - to be certified in the state you will be working in Use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA005) Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices (SITXFSA006) Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) Provide Remote First Aid certificate (HLTAID013) – to be obtained within the first 3 months of employment Provide CPR certificate (HLTAID009) With desirable criteria including: Have good bush walking experience and knowledge of the National Parks which the walks are situated in Commercial kitchen experience Manual Drivers Licence If you share both a love of cooking and a love of the outdoors, then these roles offer it all!
