We’re seeking a dependable and skilled Feedmill Hand to join our client’s progressive feedlot near Dalby, Queensland. This is a long-term role, ideally suited to someone with a strong background in livestock feeding and machinery operation, who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in doing the job right. The Role: This position is primarily focused on feeding cattle , using feed trucks, loaders, and milling equipment to prepare and deliver accurate rations. You’ll be responsible for keeping machinery in good working order and ensuring feed is mixed and distributed correctly each day. While feeding is the main focus, you’ll also be expected to help out with other general feedlot duties when required. Key Duties: Mixing and delivering cattle rations using feed trucks and loaders Monitoring feed quality and consistency Operating and maintaining feedmill machinery Keeping commodity bays organised and clean Basic servicing and daily machinery checks Support day-to-day feedlot operations outside of feeding when needed About You: You have previous feedlot experience , particularly in feeding operations You’re confident operating loaders, tractors, and feed equipment You work well independently and know how to manage your time You understand the importance of animal welfare and attention to detail You’re happy to pitch in across other areas of the feedlot when needed You have a current driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle You can provide work-related references What’s On Offer: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Accommodation provided on site A long-term, full-time opportunity Be part of a practical, hardworking team with strong values Variety in your day, with a main focus on feeding but other duties to keep things interesting This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a rural setting, values routine, and wants to work in a well-run operation where their skills are appreciated.
