Purpose The Events Officer is responsible for ensuring events and graduations are conceptualised and completed to the highest standard. To assist in running the events program to increase Le Cordon Bleu’s brand awareness and reputation and provide memorable experiences for students and alumni. Main Duties and Responsibilities · Coordinate event details including venue booking and negotiation, catering, equipment and audio-visual hire, invitation lists and RSVPs. · Assist in the research and development of new event opportunities. · Responsibility for ensuring events run successfully · Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in professional and timely manner. · Research and source quotes and ensure fall within event budget allocated · Keep records of events and complete reports of costs, attendance, comments and recommendations. · Represent Le Cordon Bleu with the highest professional standards at conferences, exhibitions, seminars and festivals as required. · Assist in the research and development of new event opportunities. Responsible for maintaining the events inbox and responding to enquiries in a timely manner. Position Requirements Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Demonstrated event management skills. Adaptability and flexibility when dealing with problems or pressure which may arise. Travel to interstate campuses to run all events as laid out in the annual events calendar. Demonstrated ability to work accurately and with a high-level attention to detail. Competent at maintaining budgets. Ability to multitask, while managing multiple projects. Proven ability to interact with professional bodies associated with the position, nationally and internationally. Knowledge & Experience § Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an events role. (essential). § Experience in managing all aspects of events (essential). § Relevant tertiary qualification in events or similar (desirable). Why join our team?
