About the Role: This is a full-time on-site role for a Welding Supervisor at Shadbolt Group for long term projects in Sydney, New South Wales. The Welding Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with welding operations. This includes supervisory skills, welding inspections, quality control, training and development, assisting production in fit-ups and welding monitoring associated with ISO 3834-2. The Welding Supervisor will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure the timely completion of the block consolidations in shipbuilding operations. Key Responsibilities: Safely lead and supervise a team. Responsible for the qualification of all welders to required weld procedures. Responsible for ensuring all welding procedures and activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining welding equipment. Responsible for setting up and maintaining welding specifications, ensuring that welding procedures are documented and archived. Plan and coordinate work activities, including managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met. Providing regular quality inspections to ensure production are being delivered to the relevant customer standards. Provide advice, direction, and regular feedback on workshop performance to motivate a team of tradespersons and apprentices in the delivery of production work orders. Conduct on the job training as required. About You: Experience in welding stainless steels, duplex, super duplex, alloy nickels, titanium, copper nickel & aluminium. Certificate IV Frontline Management Certification AS1796 & AS2214 - Welding Supervisor Construction White Card - CPCWHS1001 CSWIP 3.1 / IIW - Welding Inspector Enter and Work in Confined Space - RIIWHS202E High-Risk Licence: EWP, Forklift, and Dogging/Rigging licence Work Safely at Heights - RIIWHS204E Class/IACS Welding Knowledge Preferable
