Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Install and repair roofing systems, including tiles, metal sheets and shingles, in accordance with industry standards. Conduct inspections to identify and diagnose roof issues, such as leaks or damaged materials. Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions and shapes, ensuring a precise and secure fit. Install and maintain roof plumbing components, such as gutters, downpipes and flashing. Work with various materials, including metal, plastic and concrete, to construct and repair roofs. Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as builders and architects, to ensure seamless integration of roofing systems. Apply waterproofing techniques to prevent water penetration and enhance the longevity of roofing structures. Utilise hand and power tools, as well as specialised equipment, to complete roofing tasks efficiently. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment and prevent accidents. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification or equivalent work experience. A minimum of one year experience in a similar role. Proficient in accurately measuring and cutting roofing materials to ensure precise fits and proper installation. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and the prevention of potential issues. Effective communication skills to understand project requirements, convey information to team members and interact with clients. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 to 85,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
