Job Description The Project Manager has single point responsibility for projects they are assigned. These are to be completed on time, on budget and according to project quality requirements. This responsibility extends from formal acceptance at an internal Kick-Off meeting through to receipt of final payment from the customer. Duties and Responsibilities: To review the sales job file before Jord’s internal kick off meeting to ensure it is comprehensive. Any grey areas or omissions shall be documented with a timeline for resolution agreed with sales To review the history of problems on previous similar projects regarding the product and client and develop and implement a strategy to mitigate against such risks occurring again To implement and execute a detailed project execution plan and to adapt this project plan to mitigate changes in the project risk profile Implement engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality strategy based on contractual requirements and Jord procedures. Ensure strategies are understood by all team members and ensure compliance by all parties during the execution of the project Proactively lead the project team to ensure that the project deliverables are known to the team and produced in a timely, efficient and adequate manner in line with the baseline project execution plan Execute project communication using the JobHub ensuring that all correspondence is generated and filed Manage project scope and ensure that all opportunities for EOT (extension of time) and EOC (extension of cost) are documented and claimed in line with the contractual requirements in a timely and professional manner Execute project reporting in line with Jord procedures in a timely manner Promptly report any critical risks to the Head of Operations Perform special tasks as assigned Adhere to all Jord company policies and IMS requirements Skills and Experience: At least fifteen years’ project management experience with an understanding of Engineering, Fabrication Procedures, Sourcing, Procurement, Shipping and QA/QC Methods with proven experience in successfully managing complex process plant projects Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management Proven experience in managing projects that adhere to timeline, budgets, quality and mitigate risk Proven understanding and experience in commercial terms and financial objectives of projects Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationships with customers Excellent communication skills combined with a proven ability to motivate and manage cross functional teams
