About the role We are currently recruiting for a System Controller in Fairbairn, ACT. Working on a rotating shift roster, the System Controller is responsible for the ongoing real-time monitoring of Essential Energy’s electrical network. You will facilitate accurate switching on the network for safety as well as monitor performance and supply reliability for planned and unplanned events. Overall, you must maintain supply to customers with minimal disruption. About You You will be experienced in electrical network operations including operating practices, procedures and communication systems and have the following skills: · Broad knowledge of enterprise related requirements of Electricity networks infrastructure, associated protection and control systems, electrical network operations and related communication systems. · Strong computer skills · Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to work closely with all stakeholders in a professional manner that reflects commitment to the role within the operations environment · Proven skills to enable the provision of quality reporting relating to operational activities where required Required Qualifications · Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and relevant qualifications · Driver’s Licence · WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate · Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role Why Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 16.5% superannuation.
