We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Officer to join our dynamic statutory planning team. The ideal candidate will carry out high-quality and timely land use planning tasks within Council’s Planning Section. As the successful applicant, you’ll be part of a motivated team of professionals and work on a wide range of interesting and at times complex planning applications In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and assess a mix of private, community, and public sector projects, using your planning expertise, report writing skills, and strong communication and negotiation abilities. Key Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Land Use Planning or a related field (e.g. Environmental Design, Architecture, or Geography), with significant experience and a strong understanding of Tasmania’s planning system and statutory processes. Demonstrated expertise in resolving complex planning matters Skilled in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and community expectations Position Hours: Full-Time, 76 hours fortnight.
