The key duties of the position include The Role As the Security Adviser, you will: Work with internal and external stakeholders to protect the Centre's physical facilities (multiple), its personnel and its information holdings. Develop and maintain security policies, plans and procedures in line with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). Regulate, monitor and report on Centre security, conduct security threat & risk assessments, and promote security awareness. Administer security compliance across the Centre's geographically dispersed facilities. In line with the preceding duties, you will manage security incidents and conduct, facilitate or assist in investigations. Assist with facilities management such as arranging repairs or overseeing minor works. About our Team The Maritime Warfare Centre is custodian for the Royal Australian Navy's data on weapon firings, underwater signature measurement and expert analytic products essential to decision makers and the warfighting community. The Security Officer position is part of a small team that provides business, governance and security support to the Centre's technical staff.
