Head of Supply Base Operations We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to lead operations at a high-capacity logistics and supply base supporting large-scale energy activities in Papua New Guinea. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe movement, storage, and dispatch of materials to onshore and offshore sites. This is a rotational FIFO role based in Port Moresby , ideal for someone with strong leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain within the oil & gas or energy sector . Key Responsibilities: Lead all logistics and warehousing activities at the supply base, including material reception, storage, dispatch, and documentation. Oversee daily operations across wharf, barge, warehouse, fuel management, and lifting activities. Ensure full compliance with HSE standards as the responsible safety officer on site. Maintain accurate stock records, coordinate SAP (MM) transactions, and lead inventory processes. Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to manage workflows, schedules, and priorities. Supervise lifting and handling operations to meet safety, regulatory, and project requirements. Lead and develop a team of supervisors and warehouse personnel while maintaining strong contractor relationships. Key Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent). 7 years of experience in materials management or logistics, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within oil & gas or heavy industry. Solid working knowledge of warehouse systems, SAP (MM), lifting equipment, and transport logistics. Proven leadership in high-risk, high-volume logistics environments. Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to work cross-culturally in a dynamic setting. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
