About the role: As a PO4 Lawyer in the Human Rights, Anti-Discrimination and Employment Law Practice, you will represent clients in these areas, provide legal advice and assistance statewide, and manage casework and advocacy in courts and tribunals. You will also contribute to policy and law reform initiatives and support team members with Civil Justice Services enquiries. What we're looking for: To succeed in this role, you will: Have knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: Anti-Discrimination Law, Employment Law, or Human Rights law. Be experienced in independently representing clients, instructing counsel, and appearing in courts, tribunals, and mediations. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients with complex needs, using trauma-informed practice principles. Demonstrate a commitment to LAQ's values of Social Justice, Respect, Quality, Cost Effectiveness, and Accountability. Mandatory requirements Admission or eligibility for immediate admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland. Eligibility for a current unrestricted practising certificate and entry in the High Court Register of Practitioners. Why join us?
