They have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join their team in South West Sydney and contribute to the continued success and future growth of the organisation. The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, this hands-on role will offer you true ownership and the opportunity to make a real impact across Health, Safety and Employee Wellbeing. In partnership with the highly engaged onsite leadership team, you will support and drive site HSEQ performance and play an instrumental role in developing, implementing and maintaining HSEQ Management Systems and strategic frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the businesses in implementing HSEQ Onboarding, Inductions and Training programs Conducting site visits, risk assessments, subcontractor audits, annual safety self-assessments and submitting reports incorporating gap analysis to management Supporting the ISO certification and internal audit process and timely correction of any areas of concerns or weaknesses identified. Assisting in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of HSEQ policies and procedures and driving a culture where everyone owns safety. Drafting, reviewing and implementing site specific management plans including hazard identification, operational risk assessments, SWMS and SWP. Reviewing incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to determine close out of incidents, hazards and near misses, and lead significant investigations. Undertaking quality assurance and quality control tasks to ensure products and services conform to specifications and meet internal and external standards. Evaluating the results of QA/QC activities and preparing recommendations for significant changes. Liaising with external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their products and services meet the organisation’s quality standards and deliver satisfactory standards of service. Your Profile The successful candidate will be a passionate, dedicated and confident HSEQ professional who enjoys the strategic elements of your role as much as the hands-on elements. Solution-focused and collaborative in your approach, your communication skills are second to none and you have the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organisation. You are proactive, adaptable and resilient and thrive working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and ownership. You are an innovative thinker and passionate change leader who will bring new ideas and ways of working to the table.
