How you can make an Impact This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend, located in the Greater Sydney Area. As a key technical leader in our growing startup, you'll work directly alongside our founders to architect and build innovative mobile solutions from the ground up. You'll take ownership of critical front-end systems and drive technical decisions that shape our product direction. Daily responsibilities include hands-on development of mobile applications using React Native, implementing robust and scalable user interfaces, and translating business requirements into technical implementations. You'll play a pivotal role in establishing engineering best practices, building our technical foundation, and helping scale the team as we grow. Key responsibilities include: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, particularly in the React Native ecosystem Contribute to improving our development processes and best practices Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services Work with native modules when necessary Qualifications Required Proven experience building clean, maintainable, enterprise-grade software solutions Minimum 5 years' experience developing mobile applications with React Native, and mobile app release management Strong understanding of JavaScript, including ES6 syntax and asynchronous programming Solid understanding of React fundamentals and component lifecycle Experience with native mobile development (iOS or Android) Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Detox Experience with Git version control system Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field Strong communication skills with eagerness to interact directly with customers and founders to deliver solutions Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Experience with performance optimisation techniques for mobile applications Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to help onboard and mentor junior developers
