Based in Bairnsdale, this full-time role is ideal for a senior planning professional looking to guide and improve service delivery in statutory planning across a fast-growing regional area. About the Role This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Statutory Planning Team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, and coordinating the delivery of high-quality planning services. You will provide mentorship to staff, manage planning workflows, and play a key role in customer engagement and development facilitation. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a multidisciplinary statutory planning team Coordinate project delivery, planning application assessments, and customer service Provide technical oversight on complex permit applications and VCAT matters Foster relationships with applicants, agencies, and internal teams Monitor service levels and drive process improvement initiatives Represent the organisation in high-level stakeholder engagement and advisory contexts Support development of team business plans, training, and staff development About You You are a confident and capable planning professional with a strong understanding of the Planning and Environment Act, extensive experience in statutory planning, and a passion for collaborative leadership.
