The Role Our clients seek a Station Manager to join their respected family-owned business. The organisation manages several large properties and abattoirs along the eastern seaboard of Australia. It is dedicated to upholding the highest industry standards in cattle farming, strongly emphasising animal welfare, safety, and security while promoting a positive and safe work environment. The property of interest is located 30 kilometres southwest of Thargomindah and encompasses an impressive 380,000 acres. As a trade cattle operation, the stock number fluctuates considerably throughout the year, with the current inventory consisting of 5,100 head of fattening steers and heifers. The Station Manager will report directly to the Area Manager and will lead day-to-day operations, maintain property standards, and manage a skilled team. The Ideal Candidate Ideally, you will love the land, have proven experience managing cattle stations and leading staff, and be highly self-motivated, organised, and confident working autonomously. Additionally, it has the following attributes: Experience with livestock and the ability to manage them in a low-stress manner, including all aspects of cattle husbandry.
