The Opportunity As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you'll report to the Water Headworks Engineer and be responsible for the operations of the water treatment plant, reservoirs and pump stations, inclusive of inspection, maintenance & renewal works. What will you need to succeed? (Essential Criteria) Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Water Treatment) or DPI Water Operations Courses (1-Chemical & 2-Operations and a minimum of four years' experience and demonstrated knowledge in water treatment operation, processes and maintenance and repair/rehabilitation of facilities/assets including water quality monitoring. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislations and water management including Australian Drinking Water Management Systems & Guidelines, Public Health and EPA Licencing requirements. Proven ability in effective team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skill set. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations. Proven ability in the use of telemetry, PLC & SCADA systems. Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on treatment and quality services. Hold a C Class Drivers Licence, WHS Induction Card, Confined Space Entry Certificate, Working from Heights ticket and a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Fluoride Certificate, Dam Safety and Safe Handling of Chlorine course. Complete immunisation record of Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus or willingness to obtain prior to commencement. Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement. What's in it for you?
