PEER is seeking a dynamic and strategic Talent and Industry Engagement Lead to join our team, as we drive highly successful recruitment campaigns across our apprenticeship, traineeship, and corporate staffing programs – with a focus on the Defence, VETiS, and Building & Construction sectors. About the role As the Talent and Industry Engagement Lead, you’ll own the full recruitment lifecycle – from sourcing and screening to appointment– ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and host employers. You'll develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to build strong pipelines of future talent, promote PEER’s brand, and deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a highly collaborative role, perfect for someone who is proactive, organised, and deeply committed to workforce development. Key Responsibilities Drive recruitment strategy across apprenticeships, and internal corporate roles where required. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including advertising, screening, interviewing, engagement centres and compliance. Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and talent pooling. Represent PEER at school visits, career expos, and industry events to attract top talent as well as host employers – interstate travel may be required. Support people leaders with tailored recruitment strategies and candidate assessments. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, employment standards, and GTO/RTO requirements. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through targeted recruitment initiatives. Foster relationships with host employers and support business development initiatives. Create engaging marketing materials and job advertisements. Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting metrics. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition – high-volume preferred. Industry knowledge of the Defence, Construction, or VET sectors highly regarded. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships. Proficiency in modern sourcing techniques and applicant tracking systems. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Understanding of employment law and best-practice recruitment methodologies. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for candidate experience. Qualifications & Requirements Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or demonstrated hands on experience. Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills. Must hold or be eligible for: Australian Citizenship Baseline Security Clearance Working With Children Check Federal Police Clearance Current Driver’s Licence Why Join PEER?
