We are on the hunt for an Assistant Buyer to manage the critical path and supply base for our kids’ accessories category, with a particular focus on children’s bags. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic team while adhering to brand's signature design aesthetics. THE ROLE: Manage the critical path and oversee the production of children’s accessories, ensuring all KPIs and financial objectives are met. Work closely with buyers on product development, discussing opportunities and limitations to create exceptional accessory ranges. Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure timely access to production space and materials. Oversee the sample approval process, collaborating with the Creative Director to facilitate campaign products. Partner with suppliers to negotiate costs, maintain target margins, and meet delivery timelines. Ensure all products meet brand standards through testing and investigation of quality control issues. Communicate with Buying & Planning to address delays, shortages, or overages and prepare tech packs for suppliers. On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in buying, production, or product development A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field (preferred). Strong understanding bag and accessory construction. Proficiency in Adobe suite & Microsoft Office programs Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
