The position is essential in minimising the risk of infection, optimising staff experience and aligning with the environmental footprint. This is a permanent part-time position, offering 22.8 hours per week at Cabrini Malvern. Flexibility is preferred to work across mornings and afternoons. Key responsibilities include: Working efficiently and collaboratively with the Domestic Services team and the Contracted Services Coordinator Daily management of waste transportation across the hospital within the stipulated guidelines and frameworks and as requested Segregating various recycling streams such as cardboard, PVC, sterile wraps, bottle tops and batteries Operating all machinery and transportation equipment in a safe and secure manner Managing the waste bins within the waste holding areas at Cabrini Malvern in a safe and secure manner About you You will be motivated, self-driven and resourceful, with an eye for detail and a can-do attitude . You will also have the following: Previous experience in waste management (desirable) Comfortability with heavy lifting and working on your feet for long periods Ability to work with minimal supervision, but with high levels of respect for others and the working environment Good communication skills and a team player Basic knowledge of OHS management requirements To view the full position description click here .
