About the Role: As a Business Analyst, you will: Capture, analyse, and specify relevant business requirements and processes to ensure initiatives meet the University's needs. Manage activities related to the University Timetabling analysis, documentation, design, and development of business requirements and processes, ensuring key stakeholders' needs are incorporated. Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement change management processes supporting the development and implementation of initiatives and internal processes. Provide expert functional support, troubleshooting complex system issues. About You: To succeed in this role, you will have: A degree with relevant experience OR extensive industry expertise in functional/business analysis. Familiarity with university operations, academic scheduling, and student management systems. Ability to analyse complex data sets and identify patterns to optimise timetabling processes. Experience in agile environments, working cross-functionally to deliver system enhancements. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and drive initiatives through ambiguity. A high degree of self-motivation, time management, critical thinking, adaptability to changing needs and independently managing multiple tasks. Demonstrating flexibility in response to evolving needs and changing priorities. Ability to identify and document business requirements in suitable formats for business review as well as functional specification, design, and architecture review. Knowledge and sound understanding of University operations, governance and decision making processes, and including Timetabling policies and procedures and other University related relevant legislative requirements. Multi-sector perspective and understanding of key issues in TAFE and HE. Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience with University enterprise platforms such as Student Life Cycle Systems. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, SharePoint, MS Office 365 and Process Modelling Certification in Agile (Scrum), Business Analysis (CBAP), Process modelling is advantageous.
