About the role As the Branch Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team at any location in Parramatta Libraries. We are creating an eligibility list if any position becomes available during this time for leading a team at any location in Parramatta Libraries. Key Responsibilities: Lead branch staff, oversee work experience programs, and coordinate user education initiatives within established frameworks. Develop and maintain the branch collection, participate in cataloguing, manage physical resources, and contribute to budgetary decisions. Supervise public IT resources, provide access to online databases, and offer research, information, and referral services. Coordinate & deliver community-focussed programs Manage physical resources and the environment to provide welcoming and attractive spaces for our library users Work closely with Branch Team Leaders and other library teams to Supervise and coach relevant staff, liaise with other information and library staff About You We are looking for someone with: Recognised qualifications in Information Science/Librarianship (eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) Demonstrated experience in staff management and achieving targets within a public library setting. Exceptional customer service, strong teamwork, and a comprehensive understanding of NESB and local community needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills Comprehensive understanding and development of the diverse community needs. What’s on offer: We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $87,851 to $96,771 plus 12% superannuation.
