Role Overview We are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team on the weekends. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production machinery and equipment. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical systems within our Carole Park facility. Key Responsibilities Technical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production machinery including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging equipment. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs on faulty components like bearings, belts, gears, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Collaboration & Implementation: Work with the Maintenance team to develop and execute maintenance schedules and procedures. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts. New Equipment: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, and uphold food safety and quality standards. Continuous Learning: Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices.
