Our Purpose The Adelaide Production and Treatment Alliance is a partnership with SA Water and is responsible for operating and maintaining five water treatment plants that deliver services to the Adelaide Metropolitan regions. Our Opportunity As the Electrical Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate the maintenance of electrical assets across Glenelg WWTP and potentially other southern metro sites. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a small team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll be responsible for technical direction, safety leadership, contractor management, and work scheduling. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people, systems, and asset performance responsibilities. Your primary duties will include: · Lead electrical maintenance activities to ensure reliability and compliance. · Mentor, support and coordinate a team of electricians and apprentices. · Provide technical guidance on fault diagnosis, PLCs, SCADA and control systems. · Drive safety-first culture via toolbox talks, JSAs, audits and compliance checks. · Coordinate contractor inductions and monitor contractor performance. · Support budgeting, procurement, and reporting processes. · Collaborate with SA Water and project teams to support project delivery. · Contribute to long-term improvements in plant efficiency and asset life. We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications and experience: · Electrical trade qualification and unrestricted electrical licence · Strong leadership skills in an industrial operations or utilities environment · Proven experience with complex electrical systems, VSDs, PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), and SCADA · Strong computer skills – including CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo or SAP) · Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation · Excellent communication and planning skills · Current unrestricted driver’s licence The following additional skills will be considered desirable, but not essential. All required training will be provided for the successful candidate: Cert III in Water Operations HV Switching Operations Instrumentation & PLC experience Experience in diagnosing faults with, and the repair of, complex electrical control systems · Previous experience as a team leader or leading hands-on field teams · Formal safety or leadership training · Experience with wastewater or heavy industrial facilities Our value proposition · Innovative environment that is future focused for the next generations.
